Snipping in the sunshine.....

What a gorgeous Easter weekend we've just had :)
Much time off lazing in the blazing sunshine and nibbling BBQ'd sausages was had but I made sure I got on with a few jobs so I can get right back on it this week.

A lot of snipping.....

A lot of stamping....

And just a bit of stitching...

A little collection of birdie brooches are building up :)

Back to school

A little while ago I popped along to a printmaking class for a bit of inspiration (but mainly so I could sit and play all day)

Much cutting, sticking, inking, rolling and stamping took place…….

Layered Paper….

Quick Print Foam…

And my beloved Lino…

I ummed and ahhed about what to cut...oh the pressure of creating one single print block! I like bold, simple prints and wanted to do something that I could use again and again so after a doodle session I decided on my cupcake.

I’ve been using it quite a lot, it may be ringing bells if it’s been your birthday lately :)

And so it begins.....

Welcome to my first bloggy thing…….

I follow loads of lovely blogs so I thought it was time to finally start my own.
I’ve always enjoyed doing arts and crafts things and love dabbling in different bits and bobs. Making bags, cards, sewing cushion covers, and baking cupcakes……well you need something to keep you going…..nom nom.

Lately I’ve been using a lot of felt to make brooches and bunting and also doing a lot of lino cut printing for greetings cards and note books.

As well as what I’m up to,  my cat Betty will probably pop up now again as she likes to come and get involved in whatever I’m doing…which often means inky paw prints in the kitchen or chasing my thread up my leg as I’m stitching.
Maybe no one will ever read this but it’s quite nice to write about what I’ve been up to and ideas that have finally been printed down onto paper. If you are reading….Hello!

I've added a couple of pics which, after much deliberation, made it onto my banner, a little taste of what's to come. Ooh and Etsy shop coming soon :)
